New York Comic Con 2011- You will never find a more wonderful hive of geeks and dorkiness

October 18, 2011

New York Comic-Con was this past weekend. I went. I saw. It kicked my ass. I don’t know how I used to do these things. I’m still tired. I don’t have a lot to report on. The crowds were overwhelming at times, but never rude. It is a perfect place for geeks to gather and just be themselves for a couple of days in the greatest city in the world.

Wolverine pensively thinking about his Jean…

the Bat-family!

The spider-man villains getting satisfaction

Python’s Black Knight

Spidey!  Watching video games.

Doctor Doom!

A Dalek!

Me meeting Robert Kirkman, creator of the Walking Dead!

And what he wrote to my son! (I told him that he can’t read it until 2027 because of the adult nature.)

An amazing drawing of Faith by Rebekah Isaacs, the current artist on the Buffyverse comic Angel and Faith.  If you don’t know what any of these things are, just go here:

I bought a copy of Magus #s 1 and 2 from Isaacs and writer Jon Price, and now regret not buying 3,4,and 5.  It is a terrific story about Magic returning to the world.  Check it out at the 12 Gauge comic  site HERE.

One of my absolute favorite cars

And lastly me, in a Star Wars toy package.

Hope you enjoyed my quick post.  I have many more pics.  Perhaps I’ll post a few more tomorrow.
